Senior Incident Responder
Are you the person who keeps calm during a cyber crisis, reassures the client, sets the direction and takes responsibility? Are you substantively strong but are you also the person who wants to further set up and expand our Digital Forensics & Incident Response services as well as be our public speaker?
For our Incident Response & Forensics services we are looking for a Senior Incident Responder. An experienced professional who effortlessly switches between customer contact and technical incident response. In this role you will be the first point of contact for our customers and you will guide them through the onboarding process, proactively advise them on improvements to their security processes and provide ongoing support.
When an incident occurs, you are ready to respond quickly and efficiently. You are able to lead the incident response process, you analyze threats, you coordinate forensic investigations and you ensure that our customers are well informed about the progress and steps taken. You work closely with your team and other stakeholders to resolve technical incidents quickly and effectively.
At Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity, the Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) team operates within both IT and OT environments. This means you may also be involved in incidents in critical infrastructures such as water management, power grids and the oil and gas industry. You will not only work with customers, but also with regulators such as CERTs and the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC).
You will also contribute to optimizing internal processes, improving our services and identifying commercial opportunities by offering customers additional services that fit their needs.
What will you perform in this role?
Incidents do not allow themselves to be predicted, and as a Senior Incident Responder this means that you have to act quickly and make strategic decisions in unexpected situations. You are the customer's point of contact. And you are the one who takes the lead in a crisis situation and determines what steps are needed to manage the situation. You advise clients and your insights are crucial to protecting their business operations.
In this role, you have the responsibility to ensure that our DFIR services are delivered at a high level, where customer satisfaction and profitability go hand in hand. We count on your entrepreneurship and technical knowledge to contribute to the sales, development and growth of our DFIR services.
In addition, you will be engaged in:
Training and mentoring the team: You are a mentor for junior and medior incident responders. You help them in their development through training and coaching, and ensure they are ready to handle complex incidents independently.
Develop our services: You will contribute to writing and reviewing quotes for new assignments and work closely with the sales and management team to continuously improve our services.
Improve technical infrastructure and tools: You establish the technical requirements for the tooling and infrastructure needed to optimally deliver our DFIR services. You ensure that we are always working with the latest technology and methodologies.
Technical leadership inside and outside the organization: You are the specialist in the field of Digital Forensics & Incident Response. We offer you the opportunity to share your knowledge both within Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity and externally, for example by speaking at conferences, giving workshops or writing blogs and articles.
You are a Senior Incident Responder with:
- Extensive experience in roles such as SOC Operations, Incident Response or Digital Forensics;
- You hold recognized certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH and GCFA or similar qualifications that can confirm your expertise in DFIR.
- In addition to generic DFIR knowledge, you are able to excel in your own expertise, such as Linux forensics, malware reverse engineering and Cloud incident response.
- You are continuously aware of new developments in the field, such as new attack methodologies, tools, and best practices and apply them in your work.
- Experience with proper procedures for collecting, processing, and transmitting controlled unclassified information (CUI), confidential, classified, and highly classified information;
- Strong communication skills both internally and with customers in Dutch and English.
