Information Security Consultant

Do you already have several years of experience as an Information Security Consultant and have obtained certifications such as the ISO27001 or CISSP? As Information Security Consultant at Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity you take the lead in performing risk assessments and audits, provide advice, training and support on information security, privacy and related security standards to our customers. You work for clients such as the Municipality of Rotterdam, Province of Gelderland, multinationals and financial institutions. You will work from home, office and at the customer's premises. This role can be either full- or part-time.

What will you perform?

• Independently manage and execute consulting assignments and information security and compliance implementation projects in areas such as Cloud security, NIS2, cyber security and privacy legislation;
• Take initiative during preparation, planning, scoping, risk analysis and determining the right approach per project;
• Collaborate with colleagues on the approach to the assignment;
• Performing maturity measurements and creating an improvement plan for our client;
• Optimizing project processes and monitoring efficiency in cooperation with the client;
• Provide clear and professional communication with colleagues and clients on a strategic level;
• Actively contribute to the further development and professionalization of tooling, templates and standards within the organization.

You have:

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Security Management, Business Administration, Information Management, Security Management or other relevant information security or business studies;
• In possession of (one of) the following certifications: ISO 27001 lead implementer, ISO 27001 lead auditor, CISSP (ISC), CISM (ISACA) and willing to obtain more;
• Necessary knowledge of key information security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CSA, ISO27001, COSO, BIO2, SURF, NEN7510, NIS2/CBW);
• Knowledge and skills in risk analysis, project management, consulting and IT security;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in Dutch and English.
