Incident Responder with forensic expertise
Cybersecurity incidents come unexpectedly and require keen insight and analytical skills. For clients, these moments are crucial, and you can make all the difference. As an Incident Response Consultant, you'll help our clients maintain peace of mind through a constructive approach so that business operations can resume quickly.
We are looking for an incident responder based in The Netherlands, with experience in digital forensics.
When an incident occurs, you respond quickly and effectively. You investigate security breaches, analyze cyber attacks and devise strategies to prevent damage. You work closely with experienced experts in both incident response and crisis management. You communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, such as CERTs and the NCSC, and explain technical details in a way that non-technical people can understand. During incidents, you stay calm and focused and make smart decisions under pressure to resolve the situation.

- You perform forensic analysis on both Linux and Windows systems to gather evidence and reconstruct attacks. You work with the team to analyze software and systems and understand the underlying structure and functions to identify vulnerabilities or neutralize malware.
- You will proactively look for potential threats within IT and OT environments, learn to recognize patterns and prevent attacks before they occur.
- You advise clients on creating plans, training employees and conducting cyber crisis exercises to prepare our clients for future incidents.
- You stay abreast of new developments in the field, such as attack methods, tools and best practices, and apply them to your work.
- You will work closely with a team of experienced incident responders, crisis management consultants, business continuity specialists and IT/OT security experts.
You recognize yourself in the following:
- You have a strong interest in cybersecurity and have gained experience through internships, projects or a job around security monitoring and incident response.
- You have knowledge of digital forensics and are motivated to develop further in this area.
- You have an interest in cloud security and OT and are willing to expand your knowledge in these areas. Knowledge of application security or SOC/SIEM implementation is a plus, but not required.
- You enjoy helping to improve our services, optimizing processes for ourselves and for our customers.
- You are motivated to obtain relevant certifications, such as GCIH, GCFA or Private Investigator (yellow pass). If you already have these certifications, that's an advantage!
- You can communicate clearly in both Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
- You understand that incidents are unpredictable and are willing to assist outside of regular working hours to support customers when needed.
