Cybersecurity & Crisis Management Consultant

Cybersecurity incidents do not allow themselves to be predicted. They are complex puzzles where technology, people and organization come together. As a Crisis Management Consultant, you guide organizations in preparing for and dealing with cyber crises. You support clients in conducting crisis exercises, drafting and improving crisis plans and translating complex cybersecurity dilemmas into clear and supported management decisions.

No two days are the same. One day you are facilitating a tabletop exercise with the board of a water board, the next day you are thinking about integrating cyber crisis procedures into existing crisis plans at a healthcare institution. You will also develop realistic ransomware scenarios for organizations with critical OT infrastructure and coordinate large-scale (semi-live) crisis exercises at government agencies.

As a Crisis Management Consultant, you will support both nascent and mature crisis organizations in increasing their resilience, across the full breadth of the organization.

You will be part of the Incident Response & Crisis Management team, which helps organizations both prepare for cyber attacks and respond and recover after incidents. The team consists of approximately 8 colleagues and is developing rapidly. This offers you the opportunity to help build our services and to become the point of contact towards clients. For complex scenarios and large-scale crisis exercises you will work closely with our technical experts within the Red Team of Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity.

What will you perform?

• You will perform cyber crisis management assignments for a variety of clients, including training, exercises and advice on setting up, improving and testing plans and procedures;
• You are responsible for program management and supervising improvement projects at clients;
• You will work hands-on to further build and professionalize the crisis portfolio;
• You actively develop and improve our services;
• You are visible at industry and company events and you have the ambition to become the face of our crisis management services to clients.

What do you bring?

• Relevant work experience with (cyber) crisis management, for example within a CERT, consultancy firm or security region;
• demonstrable experience in supervising crisis exercises at large organizations and providing training;
• excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in Dutch and English;
• the ability to interact and communicate effectively at operational, tactical and strategic levels.
